Jo-Ann Stores’ same-store sales for the second quarter increased 7 percent. Net sales for the period ended August 4 also increased 7 percent to $388.5 million from $363.2 million last year. EK Makes Acquisition

EK Success, which was acquired in February 2006 by private equity firm GTCR Golder Rauner LLC, has acquired Wilton Industries and Dimensions Holdings. The combined companies will be called Wilton Products and will be headquartered in Woodridge, Illinois.
