Craftrends Wins Award

For the fourth consecutive year, Craftrends has been recognized by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) with a West Region “Azbee” Award, which recognizes editorial and graphic excellence. This year, Craftrends managing editor Beth Hess won an award for her “Trendspotting” column in the Regular Column, Staff Written category for publications with less than 80,000 circulation. It will be announced in July if the award is the Gold, Silver, or Bronze winner.
In 2004, Rich Kizer & Georganne Bender won the West Region Gold award in the Regular Column, Contributed category for “Retail Adventures in the Real World.” In 2005, editorial director Bill Gardner won the West Region Gold award in the Regular Column, Staff Written category for “Editor’s Insight,” and in 2006, Kizer and Bender won the West Region Silver award in the Regular Column, Contributed category for “Georganne & Rich on the Road.”
