* People. Troy Wells, cfo, Aspire Media, parent company of Interweave Press.
* Tombow changes. Gordon Haight, chairman/ceo of American Tombow, will retire December 31 after 16 years with the company. Robert Laubscher will become president/ceo and Jeff Lester has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing.
* Awards. Creativity For Kids’ Foam Craft Workshop was selected as a Parenting magazine Mom-Tested! Pick Toy of the Year for 2007, while the company’s Fashion Design Studio kit was selected as a Parents magazine Best Toy of the Year for 2007.
