Interweave Completes Acquisitions

Interweave Press has acquired the PBS television program Needle Arts Studio from Shay Pendray. In a separate transaction, Interweave has acquired Quilting Arts and Cloth Paper Scissors magazines from Quilting Arts LLC. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
The acquisition of the magazines includes related books, special interest publications, events, and web sites. Quilting Arts’ founders John and Patricia Bolton, along with all the existing staff in Stow, Massachusetts, will continue to lead and operate the two magazines. John Bolton will serve as publisher of Interweave’s quilting and paper group and Patricia Bolton will remain as editor-in-chief of both publications. In November, both magazines increased from quarterly to a bi-monthly frequency.
