Jo-Ann Stores reported today that same-store sales for the third quarter increased 2.4 percent over last year for the same period. Net sales for the quarter increased 4 percent to $480.2 million from $461.9 million last year. Year-to-date same-store sales increased 3.5 percent and net sales for the same period increased to $1.30 billion from $1.25 billion.
The company also announced it has officially acquired full ownership of its Joann.com Web site from IdeaForest.com. The new entity, Joann.com Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jo-Ann Stores Inc. The company relaunched the Web site with an enhanced appearance and a new Community section featuring projects, gallery for customers to showcase their work, a message board for sharing ideas, and tips and trends.
