New TV Show

Posted by: Editors | February 2, 2007

Coats & Clark announced the creation of Knit & Crochet Today, a 30-minute program the company plans to air on PBS television stations. Hosting the show is Kassie DePaiva, who plays Blair Manning on the daytime soap opera One Life to Live. For the past few years she has been crocheting hats that are sold to benefit her favorite charity, the League for the Hard of Hearing.

The show is produced by Candice Jensen Productions and is described as a how-to show in an entertainment format. It will feature projects and techniques from top designers and experts, as well as field pieces on the industry and human interest stories.

Coats & Clark plans to support the show with print advertising in craft magazines, online links to web sites and blogs, on-pack advertising with the new Kassie DePaiva “Happy Hat” Knit Kits, and potential point-of-sale and cross-promotional opportunities via TV tie-in partners.
