Promotions Announced

CK Media has announced four promotions in its sewing/quilting and business-to-business unit. Tina Battock has been named vice president/group publisher and Bill Gardner has been named editorial director of Sew News Magazine. He will retain his title of editorial director for Craftrends and Memorytrends Magazines. In addition, Lisa O’Bryan was named associate publisher of the company’s quilting titles and Wendy Thompson was named associate publisher of the sewing and embroidery titles.
All chief editors and advertising account executives in the group now report to Battock. She previously held the title of publisher for the company’s quilting and sewing magazines, as well as Craftrends and Memorytrends magazines. She’s been with the company since 1992.
Gardner has previously served as assistant editor and acting editor of Sew News, and has been with Craftrends 16 years. He has 25 years of consumer and trade magazine experience.
O’Bryan has been with the company since 1996, and Thompson began working with the company as an independent sales representative in 1993 and joined the company full time in 1996.
