TNNA Acquires Nashville Market
Posted by: BillGardner | June 20, 2008
The National NeedleArts Association (TNNA) has purchased the Nashville Needlework Market, which was established in 1994 by Jo Vincent Weiss of Needlework Markets Inc. (NMI), and which was most recently under the leadership of NMI president Emily Castleberry. The Nashville Market serves as a primary venue for cross-stitch designers and other needleart industry suppliers. “This acquisition will allow TNNA to continue its efforts towards industry unification and better serve all members and product segments,” said TNNA executive director Patty Parrish. “With the unification of the International Needleart Retailers Guild (INRG) and TNNA a couple of years ago, this is a natural next step and we are pleased NMI offered us this opportunity. We will work very closely with Emily to make this as seamless a transition as possible.” “TNNA is truly the organization to take this market into a successful future for the entire industry,” said Castleberry. “This will allow industry members to embark on a journey to unify the industry as a whole and work together toward the same goals of growth and prosperity. I am confident that TNNA and their resources can help realize this vision.” TNNA will continue the February 6-8, 2009, Nashville Market in the tradition established by NMI. Information will be posted at www.tnna.org as it becomes available.
