TNNA Seeks Intern Participation
Posted by: BillGardner | August 25, 2008
The National NeedleArt Association (TNNA) is seeking host companies for its Pathways into Professional NeedleArts (PiPN) program, a joint partnership between TNNA and the University of Akron.
The program consists of two phases. Phase I is a hands-on workshop held on the university’s campus that teaches junior and senior students the fine points of crochet, knit, counted cross stitch, embroidery, and needlepoint, both from a creative and a business point of view. Phase II is an eight-week internship during which students work for member TNNA host companies.
PiPN welcomes students from any college or university, although the course must be taken directly through the University of Akron’s College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Host requirements, as well as the 2009 schedule and Host Application, are available at www.TNNA.org. Applications are due September 10. For more information, contact Sherry Mulne at 614/237-0700, or e-mail bdirect@columbus.rr.com.
