Warm Up America!
Posted by: BillGardner | May 8, 2008
Warm Up America!, a needleart-industry-wide effort to provide comfort and warmth for people in need with knitted or crocheted caps and afghans, is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), which through its network of more than 250 facilities provides a home away from home for families of seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment. To fulfill RMHC requests, along with those from numerous community service agencies and humanitarian groups, Warm Up America is reaching out to current and new knitters and crocheters to get involved. For tips on organizing a Warm Up America group, visit www.warmupamerica.org/how.html. In addition, the web site offers information about the program, along with free patterns and knitting and crocheting information.
